You’re absolutely right Dominik and it’s true of most support techs. They’re there to solve problems and most enjoy doing it. Still, even your friend probably stops wanting to help when the customer is being rude.

I agree with most of your tips. However, i know of a technical support who is happy by simply knowing she was able to help her customer. Maybe not that believable but it is true. Not all person are the same. Not all technical support are the same. There are those who help because they feel good helping. Not just because its their job!! I know because i know one who is.
